Locals in the south end of the county know that Florala businessman Ron Hargrove is an avid military collector, and after April 19, so will the nation.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Discovery Channel hit “Sons of Guns” will feature Hargrove and his son and their 1944 M36 Tank Destroyer in its season opener April 19.

The elder Hargrove couldn’t speak about their show appearance because of a confidentiality clause; however, a web clip found at http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/discovery-renews-sons-guns-fourth-431690 clearly shows the crew’s glee at Hargrove’s WWII tank.

“Ron contacted us a few weeks ago for a breech ring so he can fire the 90-mm cannon this puppy came equipped with,” said Will Hayden in the clip. Hayden is the storeowner and star of the show that centers on Red Jacket Firearms, a custom gun-making company in Louisiana.

The show will air at 8 p.m. on Fri., April 19.
