Tuesday, The Company Dance Center will play host to a jazz/contemporary class and workshop along with a meet and greet with Hannah and Debi Epstein from the Lifetime show “Dance Moms: Miami.”

“It’s just an amazing thing,” said Brie Stacks, owner of “The Co.” as it’s known. “Their manager actually called us and gave us this opportunity. We didn’t enter a contest or anything. I’m guessing they found our studio through competitions and the Internet.

“It’s going to be an amazing class,” Stacks said. “Hannah is a nationally-ranked competitive dancer who has competed all over the U.S., and she’s coming here to share her expansive dance knowledge and competitive experience.”

Stacks said Epstein will also share her experiences with bullying in her personal life and in the dance community.

“It’s a little overwhelming to know that our studio was found,” she said. “This is a great opportunity for exposure to a professional dancer and choreographer.”

The Co. offers lessons in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, tumbling and gymnastics, cheer, baton and hip hop to more than 170 students, Stacks said.

There are approximately 40 slots remaining for the class, Stacks said. Participants won’t be featured on TV, she said.

Cost is $30 for the class, which is open to all dance students age 8 and up. It will begin at 5:30 p.m. Cost for the meet and greet is $25 and participants should arrive by 6:15 p.m. to participate.

To register, call the studio at 334.222.7032.
