Opp plans Day of Prayer

Opp Mayor John Bartholomew is asking Opp residents to participate in the annual National Day of Prayer on Thurs., May 2.

Bartholomew has asked the Rev. Stewart Young, pastor of Southside Baptist Church, the Rev. Gary Miller, pastor of Westview Baptist Church, to organize the event on the steps of the Opp City Hall at noon.

Local pastors will be called upon to lead prayer for the country, state, county and Opp.

Opp residents and businesses are asked to gather in front of city hall for about 20 minutes to pray.
