The new home construction market is rebounding throughout the county.

Reports show that the number of permits for new home construction issued in Andalusia, Opp and Florala, while not large, remain consistent.

Between 2010 to the present:

• In Andalusia: 22 permits were issued – nine permits issued in 2010, six in 2011, five in 2012 and two, to date, in 2013.

• In Opp: 15 permits; however, a breakdown of those numbers by year wasn’t provided.

• In Florala: three permits were issued during the same period – two in 2011 and one in 2012.
