For its final regular season game, Andalusia finished in a 1-1 tie with Northview of Dothan tonight.
The Bulldogs now sit at 12-2-1 going into the first round of the Class 1A-4A substate playoffs on Saturday, where they’ll host second-ranked Bayside Academy.
AHS soccer coach Tim Ramsden said he started the game out with a new formation.
“We actually played OK in the formation, but we didn’t create many chances,” he said. “We were a little sluggish on defense and didn’t strike the ball well.”
These are things the Bulldogs will have to clean up before Saturday’s game, Ramsden said.
Hiren Patel scored Andalusia’s only goal, which allowed the Bulldogs to take a lead at the start of the second half.
Northview evened the match when the ball shot in the back post off of a header.
Ramsden said Chris Smith and Corey Bulger played well for AHS tonight.
