A convicted drug dealer from Andalusia will face the judge again after being arrested for drugs Tuesday morning.
Drug Task Force Commander Mark Odom said agent Greg Jackson attempted to pull over 25-year-old Kevin Lamar Huff near the Bulldog Carwash in Andalusia.
“After Agent Jackson initiated his blue lights, the vehicle fled to 9th Avenue, and Agent Jackson saw the driver throw something out of the window of the car,” Odom said.
Odom, who had responded to assist Jackson, was able to recover the discarded items, which included marijuana and digital scales.
Jackson stopped the vehicle and arrested Huff for possession of marijuana I, possession of drug paraphernalia, reckless endangerment and attempting to elude law enforcement. Huff was also arrested for violation of probation and remains in the Covington County Jail without bond.
“Drug dealers are a scourge on society,” Odom said. “Four years ago, (Huff) was convicted of selling drugs and went to prison. Apparently, he was back in business soon after his release.
“To drug dealers, selling dope is just business,” he said. “Our business is to stop dealers like Huff before they inflict even more devastation on Covington County.”
