The Andalusia Board of Education Monday extended Superintendent Ted Watson’s contract for two years.

Watson’s current contract expires at the end of August.

Board Chairman David McCalman negotiated the new contract. He said the base pay remains the same, but the superintendent’s travel allowance increased by $1,000, and the board will pick up the tab for some dues for professional organizations.
