Straughn and Opp had players selected to the Alabama’s of Friday Night Football magazine’s All-Wiregrass football team.

Straughn’s Dalton Watson and Johnny Owens, and Opp’s Quantavise Stoudemire were selected to the preseason team.

Watson was selected as a top offensive lineman; Owens and Stoudemire were selected as top linebackers.

Additionally, Straughn was ranked No. 5 in the top teams of the wire grass.

Class 6A Northview and Enterprise; Class 5A’s Eufaula; and Class 3A’s Barbour County were ranked ahead of the Tigers in the poll.
