Friday performance highlight of Ballet’s Summer Intensive

Qianping Guo, known as “Ping” to his students, is among the guest instructors for the Andalusia Ballet’s Summer Intensive.

Guo is a 2002 Graduate from the University of Arizona in theatre arts and dance, and currently teaches at the University of Alabama. He specializes in ballet choreography as well as dance theory. He began dancing as a child in China.

Callie Edgar Hatchett also is a guest instructor for the summer program.

Summer intensive culminates with the presentation of Summer Dances, a combination of classical and contemporary works, at 7:30 p.m. Fri., August 2, at the LBWCC Dixon Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets are $10 for Adults and $5 for children 12 and under.
