Opp scored four touchdowns en route to a 28-21 victory over Dale County on Friday night.

The Bobcats made it look easy in the first half, taking a 20-0 lead at the break.

After the third quarter, DCHS came back to make things interesting to cut it to 20-14.

In the first quarter, Opp’s Raheem Bonham punched the ball in from five yards with 6:44 on the clock to put the Bobcats ahead 8-0 with a successful 2-point attempt.

With 1:05 left in the opening quarter, Greg House literally took it to the house from 80 yards away to give OHS a healthy 14-0 advantage.

On a DCHS turnover, Opp’s Ethan Davis rushed six yards for a score with 21 seconds left in the first half.

DCHS came out a different team in the second half, scoring two touchdowns from the start.

The visiting team to Channell-Lee Stadium scored two TDs in the third quarter, and in the first minute of the fourth to lead 21-20.

DCHS held the lead until 6:30 left in the fourth when Orlando Lacey blocked a punt to put the Bobcats back at the 1-yard line.

Ty White then got the 1-yard TD run and with the 2-point conversion, the Bobcats took their game-winning 28-21 lead.

DCHS put together a hail mary play, but the ball was batted away on the 10 yard line.

The Bobcats play at Elba to start their 2013 season next week.
