Florala took a 32-0 lead at halftime and the Wildcats rolled to a 40-28 victory over Central-Hayneville on Friday night at Mathews Stadium.
“It was about what I had expected,” FHS head football coach Bubba Nall said. “They’re athletic and fast. We fumbled the ball a couple times.
“We fumbled it at the 1-yard line, and they ran it back 99 yards for a touchdown,” he said. “Outside of that, I felt like our defense played well. Offensively, we played well.”
Nall gave kudos to senior quarterback Kyle Price, who played well for FHS.
“I was proud of the kids,” he said. “I think we came out of there fairly healthy.”
The Wildcats play host to Geneva County next week to start region play.
