THE REV. MELVIN WILLIAM KILPATRICK

The Rev. William Melvin Kilpatrick, 81, of Andalusia died Fri., Sept. 6, 2013, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sun., Sept. 8, at Zion Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Frankie McVay and the Rev. Roger Lee officiating and interment following at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery in Baker, Fla., with Foreman Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home and after 2 p.m. Sunday at Zion Hill Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Kilpatrick of Andalusia; daughters and son-in-laws, Lisa (Altra) Ward of Conyers, Ga., and Kay (George) Prussaca of Eagle, Wisc.; sons and daughter-in-law, David Kilpatrick and Michael (Tara) Kilpatrick, both of Andalusia; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Rex (Irone) Kilpatrick, Leslie Ray Kilpatrick and Larry Kilpatrick, all of Andalusia.

JOSEPH L. BRYAN

Joseph L. Bryan, 83, of Georgia, formerly of Dozier, passed away Thurs., Sept. 5, 2013, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held on Tues., Sept. 10, at 11 a.m., at the Zion Cemetery in Dozier, with Keahey Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

He served in the U.S. Army and retired from the real estate division of the Federal Aviation Administrtion.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Bryan; son, Zachary Earl (Kasey) Bryan; and granddaughter, Ali Ann Bryan, all of Fayetteville, Ga.

 

CONAN GRIFFIN

Conan Griffin, 37, of Andalusia, passed away Thurs., Sept. 5, 2013, at his residence.

A memorial service was held on Fri., Sept. 6, at the Scripture Truth Baptist Church with the Rev. Carol Parker officiating and Keahey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Comfort Care Hospice or Scripture Truth Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Ethan Thomas Griffin; mother, Shirley Marie Carter; brothers, Thomas D. Griffin (Sherry), all of Andalusia, Chad D. Griffin of New York and Eric Sean Griffin of Opp; and sisters, Sherri Lynn Urquiola of Orlando, Fla., and Tina Marie Stewart (Doug) of Andalusia.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas D. Griffin Sr., and his sister, Pennie Marie Griffin.
