It didn’t take long to establish who was wearing the big girl pants Thursday night at Andalusia.
The Lady Bullodgs took a 14-5 lead in the first set and cruised to a 3-0 (25-7, 25-12, 25-9) area victory over Hillcrest-Evergreen.
With this victory, AHS won its second match of the season.

Andalusia improves to 1-1 in Class 4A, Area 2, and will next play Hillcrest-Evergreen on Monday.
The Lady Bulldogs will need to win the next area match if they want to solidify the No. 2 seed going into the area tournament, which will be held Oct. 22.
To have a chance to host the area tournament, AHS will need to win the rest of its area games.
After finishing its area series with HHS, the Lady Bulldogs will next meet Monroe County on Oct. 1.
In earlier action, Andalusia’s JV squad beat the Lady Jaguars 2-0 (25-14, 25-11).
After its Monday game against HHS, Andalusia travels to Dothan for a regular-season contest against Providence Christian.
Then, on Thursday, the Lady Bulldogs will host rival Opp.
The Providence match starts at 3:30 p.m. with the junior high squad.
The Opp match starts at 3:30, also with the junior high squad.
