Council abates 7 properties

The Andalusia City Council passed a continuing resolution Tuesday to extend its 2013 budget.

Mayor Earl Johnson said council members are looking at items that can affect the budget over the next several years.

The council also abated seven properties for weed violations, including:

• 101 Doyle St.

• 1002 Stanley Ave.

• 505 Seegers St.

• 411 Church St.

• 414 2n St.

310 Powell Circle

214 McGowin St.

The council took no action on a request for $7,500 for the A-Town Invitational, set for Saturday.
