There will be trick-or-treat at the Opp Depot.

Downtown Redevelopment Authority member Tommie Norris said at Tuesday’s city council meeting that the DRA is seeking business partners to make Opp’s Halloween night event a success.

“What we’re looking for is businesses that would like to set up a table for trick-or-treaters so that it can be a rain-or-shine event,” Norris said. “We’re going to provide games, and I think everyone will have a great time.”

This year, Halloween in Opp will be held on Thurs., Oct. 31, from 5-8 p.m. Mayor John Bartholomew asked residents to respect those “without the lights on” who do not wish to participate in Halloween.

Businesses wishing to participate in the Depot event should contact Norris at 334-208-0195.
