The Covington County Sheriff’s Department was investigating the death of a man on Co. Road 81 near Babbie Monday night.

Investigators were called to the scene because there appeared to have been a struggle in the home. Sheriff Dennis Meeks said the person who found the man knocked over some things as he attempted to find a light switch.

Meeks said an autopsy would be peformed, but he believes the death was due to natural causes. The identity of the deceased had not been released when The Star-News went to press at midnight.
