AMS Bulldogs win Tuesday night

Andalusia’s seventh and eighth grade boys and girls basketball teams picked up wins over Brewton on Tuesday night.

The AMS 7th-8th grade girls defeated BMS 20-19 in a close game, while the eighth-grade boys handled the Tigers in a 36-18 rout.

Andalusia will be back in action Nov. 5-7 in a tournament at Elba. The girls and boys tip off at 3:30 and 5 p.m., respectively, on Tuesday against Dauphin in the first round.

AMS led 7-6 at halftime and went on to outscore the Lady Tigers 9-0 in the third period.

BMS came back with a 13-point effort in the fourth, compared to Andalusia’s four points.

Taz Sheridan led all AMS scorers with nine points. Kennedy Wilcox chipped in six.

M. Campbell had six points to lead Brewton.

Andalusia boys 36, Brewton boys 18

Andalusia led 20-6 at halftime and didn’t let off the gas pedal in the third period, outscoring the Tigers 12-6 to take a 32-12 lead.

BJ Anderson led AMS with 14 points; Will Clark had seven; Matthew Lilly and Rodney Drish had four points each.

J. Jolly had nine points for BMS.
