TIMOTHY ZANE THOMPSON

Timothy Zane Thompson, 26, of Andalusia, passed away on Mon., Oct. 28, 2013.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thurs., Oct. 31, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Jason Green and Minister Eddie Boggess officiating and interment following in Sasser Church of Christ Cemetery near Brantley.

Visitation will be today from 4-8 at Foreman Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Faith Thompson; his mother, Cindy Thompson of Andalusia; his father, Tim Thompson; paternal grandparents, J.C. and Cecelia Thomson of Oregon; his in-laws, Benji and Lisa Gunter; a sister-in-law, Ariel Gunter; aunt and uncle, Jimmy and Debbie Greene of Andalusia; and his cousins, Jamey Greene, Meredith Norris and Samantha Greene.

Pallbearers will be Drew Greenwald, Mark Chambers, Jamey Greene, Cam Ammons, Jeremy Weant, Bricken Cope, Brandon Mitchell and Daniel Blackmon.

WOODROW ‘WOODY’ MERRILL

Woodrow “Woody” Merrill, 73, passed away on Oct. 26, 2013, in Tampa, Fla.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Ann Merrill; daughters, Jennifer Hof (Robert) and Karen Sadler; grandchildren, Justin Hof (Amanda), David and Terilyn; great-granddaughter, Kennedy; and one sister, Jeanette Jones of Montgomery.

Funeral services were held on Mon., Oct. 28, at Idlewild Baptist Church. Interment followed at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla.

CHRISTINE SPIVEY

Christine Spivey, 88 of Red Level, died Fri., Oct. 25, 2013, at her residence.

Funeral services were held on Tues., Oct. 29, at New Hope Independent Baptist Church in Red Level with the Rev. Keith Parker officiating. Interment followed in Fairmount Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy Christine Spivey and Johnny Aughtman of Red Level; her sons and daughters-in-law, Eddie and Jane Griggs of Tiger, Ga., Larry Paul and Jean Griggs of Cummings, Ga., Roger Chris and Becky Griggs of Mobile and Jeff Spivey of Red Level; her son-in-law, Johnny Rigsby of Prattville; a sister and brother-in-law, Jean Stewart and Billy Williamson of Andalusia; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Preston and Leona Stewart; a son, Lester Wayne Griggs; a sister, Kathleen Stewart; a brother, James Preston Stewart Jr.; and a daughter, Linda Frances Spivey Rigsby.

Jesse Lavonne Dauphin, 67 of Andalusia, died Fri., Oct. 25, 2013, in a Dothan hospital.

Memorial services were held on Sun., Oct. 27, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Greg Cotter officiated the service.

He was survived by his wife, Betty Dauphin of Andalusia; his sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne Dauphin, Jesse and Angie Dauphin, and Michael and Charlotte Dauphin, all of Andalusia; his grandchildren, Chandler Dauphin, Logan Dauphin, Liberty Dauphin, Callie Dauphin, M. J. Dauphin, Katelyn Mitchell and Miley Mitchell; his sisters and brother-in-law, Linda Adkison, Betty and Farrel Wyatt; a brother, Dennis Dauphin; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Lamar and Beverly Sanders.

VERA HUTTO MELVIN

Vera Hutto Melvin, 99 of Andalusia, died Sun., Oct. 27, 2013, in the Elba Nursing Home.

Graveside services were held on Tues., Oct. 29, at Pleasant Ridge Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, north of Elba in Coffee County, with the Rev. Greg Cotter officiating and Foreman Funeral Home directing.

She is survived by her sister, Lovia Brooks of Elba, and stepdaughter, Pauline Melvin Sanders of LaPine.
