Andy Ford: Look for deals, ‘cause it’s all gotta go!

It all needs to go – that’s what Alan Lindsey at Andalusia Ford said about his inventory this holiday season.

“From one side of this lot to the other, there are deals to be found,” Lindsey said. “Over the years, my attitude buying pre-owned or new has changed. Used to, pre-owned was the best way to go, but now, that’s changed.

“Ford has jumped out there with incentives that changed the game,” he said. “Right now, on F-series trucks, there’s $7-8,000 in rebate money and for the holidays, they’re throwing in a $1,000 pre-paid MasterCard as a bonus. It makes you feel better about making a purchase like that at this time of the year.”

Lindsey said a partnership with Ford allows customers to put off their first payment until after the first of the year.

“That means if you buy now, you’re first payment won’t be due until the middle of February,” he said. “So, in total, it means that buying a new Ford doesn’t dampen your holiday spending.

“Now, it makes more sense to buy new and take advantage of the incentives,” he said.

Lindsey said the dealership also welcomes trade-ins.

“We’re begging for trade-ins, actually,” he said. “We don’t go to auctions. We pay top money for our customers’ trade-ins, so come and see us.”
