Auburn starts practice for title game

Auburn started practice for the Vizio BCS National Championship Game against Florida State on Monday after more than a week away from the gridiron.

The Tigers defeated Missouri 59-42 in the SEC Championship game two Saturdays ago in Atlanta. AU was granted a berth in the title game after Michigan State beat previous No. 2 Ohio State the same day.

Tigers coach Gus Malzahn was on the road most of last week recruiting and attending awards banquets in Orlando for the College Football Awards and New York City for the Heisman Trophy Ceremony, according to a story on Al.com.

The BCS National Championship Game is slated for Mon, Jan. 6, 2014, at 7:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
