CLARA B. LITTLE

Clara B. Little, 81, of Jack, passed away Wed., Dec. 18, 2013, at Troy Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., today, Sat., Dec. 21, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Bush officiating and interment following at the Old Bethel Cemetery. Keahey Funeral Home will be directing. The family will receive friends at Keahey Funeral Home one hour prior to the service.

She is survived by her sons, Carl (Melissa) Scott, Tony Scott, Robert Scott and Clayton Hendricks; daughters, Susan (Gene) Wright, all of Andalusia, Tami (Ricky) Lawson of Jack and Lisa (Johnny) Halford of Andalusia; sisters, Gertrude Harris of Robertsdale and Rosie Carley of Bay Minnette; 35 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Doris Erlen Davenport.

 

RITA FORTUNE MITCHELL

Rita Fortune Mitchell, 56, of Red Level, passed away on Thu., Dec. 19, 2013, at Andalusia Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., today, Sat., Dec. 21, at Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Mitchell officiating and interment following at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, John D. Mitchell of Red Level; three sons, John (Sherry) Mitchell of Red Level, Jeffery (Laura) Mitchell of Andalusia and Michael (Dawn) Rodgers of Greenville; two daughters, Melody (Scott) Young of Lapine and Melissa (Ramon) Leonguerrero of Oklahoma; two brothers, Billy Rodgers of Oklahoma and Robert Rodgers of Florida; four sisters, Jennifer (Dane) Linton of Goshen, Janice (Kenneth) Mitchell of Red Level, Barbara (Robert) Davis of Greenville and Rebecca Bender of Luverne; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers include Stephen Mitchell, David Lee Brown, John David Brown, Jonathon Dale Bender, Matthew Bender, Shane Bender and Chaz Bush.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to American Cancer Society.

JEAN AMMONS HOWARD

Jean Ammons Howard, 72, of River Falls, went to be with our heavenly Father on Dec. 5, 2013.

She was laid to rest on Dec. 9 at Fairmount Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Susie Ammons; grandson, Kevin Meeks; brother, Willie Jay Ammons; and sister, Ruby Faye Edson.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Willie H. Howard Jr.; five daughters, Jane Grice of Andalusia, Marsha Nichols of Pennsylvania, Kay (Ricky) Maddox of Mary Esther, Fla., Cheryl Meeks and Chris Bishop of Spanish Fort and Vicki (Tommy) MaGaha of Milton, Fla.; 11 grandchildren, Candace Grice, Teddy Nichols, Tiffany Nichols, Brooke Williams, Brad Adams, Kyle Adams, Phillip Anderson, Kendra Meeks, Ashley Domingquez, Alexis Domingquez and Allison Domingquez; and nine great-grandchildren, Madison Thornton, Kayley and Courtland Williams, Parker and Cody Adams, Will, Chloe and Brelle Anderson and Bryson Harrell.

Pallbearers were Brad Adams, Kyle Adams, Philip Anderson, Joe Ammons, Randall Edson and Danny Cheek.

She was truly an inspiration and loved by many and will truly be missed by all.
