MURRY JOHNSON

Murry Johnson, 90, of Andalusia, passed away Fri., Dec. 27, 2013, in the Andalusia Manor.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Evans Funeral Home of Florala.

 

SHEILA CAINE

Shelia Caine, 39, of Andalusia, passed away Thu., Dec. 26, 2013.

Funeral services are incomplete and will be announced later by Keahey Funeral Home.

 

MYRTICE WILSON

Myrtice Wilson, 97, of Andalusia, passed away on Wed., Dec. 25, 2013.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., today, Sat., Dec. 28, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Durwood Cleland officiating and special music by Beverly Coon. Burial will follow in Stone Lake Gardens Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to services.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Johnny Mack and Jeanette Wilson of Wing; sisters, Shirley Black and Betty Zumbrum; six grandchildren, Daphne (Mike) Hardage, Pete (Margaret) Dewrell, Kim Dewrell, Dorenda Rhodes, John (Shauna) Wilson, Jason (Ginger) Wilson and Vanessa Ballard; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Wilson; daughter, Lena Paul, and son, Clayton Wilson.

Serving as pallbearers will be Tommy Hardage, Rhett Dewrell, Patrick Pendergast, John Wilson and Jason Wilson.

In lieu of flowers, contributions maybe made to Andalusia Manor in her memory.

 

HUEY ARLEN WILLIAMS

Huey Arlen Williams, 78, of Enterprise, passed away Thu., Dec. 26, 2013, in Southeast Alabama Medical Center.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sun., Dec. 29, at Buck Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Red Level with the Rev. Nathan Carroll and the Rev. Boyd Hartzog officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory directing.

The family will receive friends at Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory in Enterprise today, Sat., Dec. 28, from 6 p.m. until 8 pm.

Williams

He was born Oct. 26, 1935, in Covington County to the late Huey Edward and Lina Brooks Williams. He was reared in Red Level, where his grandfather founded Buck Creek Church, and was a graduate of Red Level High School.  He served four years in the U.S. Navy and worked with Ford Motor Credit, retiring after 35 years of service. He was a member of Lee Street Baptist Church. He was kind-hearted, generous and compassionate – a man of integrity and hard work ethics who loved his family very much.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Eleanor Griggs.

He is survived by his wife, Pat Williams of Enterprise; a daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Mickey Bennett of Geneva; sister, Elaine (Jack) Mott of Valparaiso, Fla.; grandchild, Callie Bennett of Geneva; and several nieces and nephews.

BESSIE RAE FOWLER

Bessie Rae Fowler, 77, of Andalusia, passed away on Fri., Dec. 27, 2013.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., on Mon., Dec. 30, at Stone Lake Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Carl Turman officiating. Visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to services at the cemetery.

Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her son, Joel Keith Fowler.

 

EDITH JIMMERSON

Edith Jimmerson, 86, formerly of Andalusia, passed away on Thurs., Dec. 26, 2013, at her residence in Luverne.

Memorial services will be announced at a later date by Foreman Funeral Home.

Survivors include two daughters, Delpha J. Wright of Luverne and Pamela (Lawrence) Ponzi of New York; son, Burl (Linda) Jimmerson of Georgia; sister, Ruth Godwin of Luverne; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Jimmerson, and grandson, Eric Alan Smithson.

WILLIAM MURL DUNN

William Murl Dunn, Sr., 78, of Gantt, passed away on Mon., Dec. 23, 2013, in Dothan.

He served as a deacon of Gantt Baptist Church and was a retired first sergeant in the U.S. Army.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Mon, Dec. 30, at Gantt Baptist Church, with the Rev. James Coleman officiating and interment following in Able Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church, one hour prior to the service.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Dunn of Gantt; his son and daughter-in-law, William “Bill” and Sue Dunn Jr. of Andalusia; his daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Victor Mosley of Andalusia and Wendy and Lucky Muse of Arcadia, Fla.; eight grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Lucky Muse, Brandon Muse, Victor Mosley, Shawn Mahoney and Frank Lloyd.

Honorary pallbearers will be Travis Muse and Joseph Hugh Westbrook.
