A cold front will bring the cold to the home front in the coming days, as forecasters predict frigid nighttime lows for the next week.
The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Covington County as a strong northernly wind flow blows a cold front into the area. That means the area will see nighttime lows tonight through Wednesday in the lower 20s.
We’ll get a small break on the weekend with some unseasonably warm daytime highs – 56 and 64 respectively – but another strong cold front will move through the area by Sunday night.
We could experience a hard freeze Monday night, with the low projected at 22 degrees. Tuesday night’s low isn’t much better, set at 24 degrees.
