Opp fell 63-42 to Goshen in regular season action tonight at GHS.

The Bobcats trailed throughout the entire contest.

Goshen led 17-15 after the first period, 32-24 at halftime and 50-31 after the third period.

Opp’s Cale Pierce led the Bobcats with 12 points, which he drained by shooting four 3-pointers.

Saquaya Lane scored 19 points to help lead the Lady Bobcats to a 35-31 victory over the Lady Eagles.

Opp fell behind 6-5 after the first period and were down 25-12 at halftime.

The Lady Bobcats went on to outscore Goshen 23-6 in the second half.

In B-team action, the Bobcats got a 52-42 overtime win.

Payton Whigham led OHS with 12 points, and went 7-for-8 in free throws in OT.

Greg House added 11 points, and Dewayne Bonham had 10 points, including a layup buzzer to tie the game at the end of regulation.

The Bobcats will be back in action tomorrow night at Excel for a Class 3A, Area 2 contest.

In other action, Straughn’s Jacie Williamson scored 19 points to help lead the Lady Tigers to a 39-37 win over Southside Selma on the road.

Straughn’s boys fell 54-49 in the night cap.

The Tigers are back in action tomorrow night as they host the Tigers of Elba.

Tip off is at 4:30 p.m. for the B-team.
