Mr. and Mrs. Juan Andres Mencia of Great Falls, Va., are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Olivia Marie, to Jonathan Tyler O’Brien, son of Mrs. Jill Ansley O’Brien and the late Mr. Jonathan Bradley O’Brien of Andalusia.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Erling, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hall and the late Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Mencia.

She is a 2009 graduate of Langley High School in Mclean, Va. She earned a bachelor of science degree in marketing from the University of Alabama in 2012 and is currently employed with St. Jude Children’s Hospital as an event marketing representative in Charlotte, N.C.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mrs. Kathleen Mauger Ansley and the late Mr. William Edwin Ansley of Winston Salem, N.C.

He is a 2006 graduate of Andalusia High School. He earned a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Alabama in 2011 and is currently employed as a cost reduction engineer with Electrolux in Charlotte, N.C.

The couple will exchange vows on Feb. 8, 2014, at the Riverbend Country Club in Great Falls, Va. Invitations are being sent.
