ML registration is Feb. 1-28

Baseball registration for the Miracle League of Covington County will be held Feb. 1-28.

The Miracle League is a program that is open to all ages and free of charge for the 2014 season. Players cannot be disallowed from participating because of a degree of disability is approved by a parent or guardian.

Those who are interested in participating in league play can register at Johnson Park, print and mail the registration form to P.O. Box 429, Andalusia, AL 36420, or go online and register at www.cityofandalusia.com by clicking on the Miracle League icon.

Each player who participates will receive a uniform and ball cap.

The season will begin on Tues., April 22, and will last for six weeks. Games will be played on Tuesday nights at 6 on the Miracle League Field at Johnson Park.

Additionally, those who would like to volunteer in the program by becoming an “Angel in the Outfield” (ages 12 and up), a head or assistant coach (ages 20 and up) or a Team Mom, need to visit the city’s website and click on the ML icon for info, or contact Program Coordinator of Athletics Caitlin Shipman.
