The Andalusia Police Department is investigating a hit and run involving a 5-year-old child in the area off of Smith Street.

The incident occurred just after 5 p.m. Thursday. Capt. Paul Dean said late last night that the APD had recovered the vehicle, but no arrest has been made.

The child’s injuries appeared to be minimal, he said.
