Andalusia played a controlled basketball game and beat Brantley 68-52 in varsity boys action Monday night.
AHS outscored Brantley 26-16 in the second period to take a 43-27 lead at halftime.
“We probably played the best controlled game we played all season by carrying out the plan,” AHS coach Richard Robertson said.
BHS went on several runs during the game, but AHS countered by holding with good defense, the coach said.
“We won the ball game in the second quarter,” he said.
In the second half, both teams scored 25 points each.
Andalusia’s Phillip James scored 33 points; DeVante Jackson had 14; Jayden Ellison had 12; and Kendarius Townsend chipped in eight points.

In B-team action, AHS won 52-35.
