SHS boys, girls move up in final poll

Straughn’s boys and girls basketball teams moved up in the most recent Class 3A Alabama Sports Writers Association basketball poll, which was released today.
The Tigers beat Georgiana (on Saturday) and defeated Pleasant Home Monday night to improve to 17-4 on the season, and bumped up two spots to No. 6.
The girls beat the same two opponents and improved to 23-1 on the season, and is now No. 2 in the state, up one from 3.
