The Covington County Extension Agency is teaming up with the Forestry Commission this week to raise funds, while making a positive contribution to the local environment.

Melissa Wise, administrative support associate with the extension agency, said members of the two groups will be selling fledgling trees today and tomorrow from 3 to 5 p.m. in the parking lot in front of the Covington County Arena.

Wise said around 20 types of trees are available, and are just $1 each.

Proceeds from the sale, which began Wednesday, will go to various Forestry Commission projects throughout the area.
