GWENDOLYN MCKATHAN REED

Gwendolyn McKathan Reed, 82, of Milton, Fla., formerly of the Pleasant Home community, passed away Tues., Feb. 11, 2014, in a Pensacola, Fla. nursing facility.

Funeral services will be held today, Fri., Feb., 14, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Home Baptist Church. Judge Ashley McKathan and

The Rev. Fred Kelley will officiate. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Home Baptist Church Cemetery.

Reed is survived by her husband, Hollie Reed of Milton; son, Jerry (Mary Beth) Thomason of Milton; step-son, Mike (Cindy) Reed of Milton; brothers, Miles (Ruth) McKathan of Mobile, Ala.; Luke (Joshlyn) McKathan of Ocala, Fla.; sister, Shirley Smith of Pleasant Home; grandchildren, Jay Thomason, Jennifer Crider, Randy Thomason, and Mike Reed; and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by sons, Paul Thomason, Steve Thomason, Joey Thomason and brother, Garnal McKathan.

JOYCE COBURN BREWER

Joyce Coburn Brewer, 78, of Andalusia died Wed., Feb. 12, 2014. Funeral services will be held Sat., Feb. 15, at 2 p.m. from the Carolina Baptist Church. The Rev. Bill Boles will officiate. Interment will follow in the Carolina Cemetery.

Brewer is survived by her husband, J. Marlon Brewer of Andalusia; her daughter, Marla Joyce (Garry) St. Jean; her sons, Faron (Cecilia) Brewer of Spanish Fort, Ala., and Jesse (Angie) Brewer on Andalusia; grandchildren, Joyce Brewer Antoine, Jessica Brewer Archer, Cayla Brewer and Jay Marlon Brewer; a sister, Erlene Phillips of Andalusia; and a brother, Edward (Betty) Coburn of Daphne, Ala.

Pallbearers will be Garry St. Jean, Mark Phillips, Robert Phillips, Judson Archer, Jason Antoine and Nicky Short.

The body will lie in state at Foreman Funeral Home today, Fri., Feb. 14, at 5:30 p.m. and at the church 30 minutes prior to services.

CECELIA SUE CRAWFORD

Cecelia Sue Crawford, 61, of Opp passed away Thurs., Feb. 13, 2014, at Mizell Memorial Hospital.

Private Memorial Services were held by the family. She was a native of Opp. During her young adult life she moved to Houma, La., where she resided for many years. In 2005, she returned to Opp to reside.

She is survived by her husband, Michael D. Crawford of Houma, La.; son, Michael D. Crawford Jr. of Houma, La.; brother, Benny Joe Chambless of Gulfport, Miss.; sister, Teresa Dianne McPherson of Andalusia; grandchildren, Christopher Devin Trosclair, Kaylie Elizabeth Trosclair and Kyle Dean Crawford.

Keahey Funeral Home of Andalusia was in charge of the service.
