Andalusia will be hitting the fairways once again as the Bulldogs begin their golf season Monday at Enterprise.

The Bulldogs have quite a few juniors on the team this season.

“It’s going to be a learning experience,” AHS golf coach Marshall Locke said. “A lot of them will be thrust into scoring mode. It’s going to be like starting all over.”

Last season, AHS finished in the Class 4A Sub-State round at Timber Creek.

The sectional will be held at Andalusia Country Club this year.

Locke said the team, who has been working hard out at Evans Barnes Golf Course at LBWCC, has been working hard.

“I can tell whose been working on their game,” the coach said. “Three kids are standing out. I think they’re going to be taking it back and forth.”

Locke said despite the lack of experience on the team, the Bulldogs are looking forward to the season.

“I’m expecting big things from them,” he said. “Like I tell them every year. We want to compete as always. We’re going to keep busting our butts.

“It’s a long season, and we’re going to take it one match at a time, and try to make improvements,” he said.
