Former Florala football coach Justin Jones was approved to be the new head football coach at New Brockton by the Coffee County Board of Education Friday afternoon, according to The Southeast Sun.

Jones coached at FHS for two seasons — 2011 and 2012 — and compiled a 8-12 record.

According to the Sun, Jones coached at Enterprise High School, where he was an assistant coach. He helped lead the Wildcats to a second-round Class 6A playoff berth.

Jones served as the physical education teacher at NBHS from 2003-05, and was also an assistant football coach for the Gamecocks.
