Riley hits 1st solo homer for Lady Hawks

Huntingdon College’s AC Riley hit her first home run as a Lady Hawk earlier tonight during a doubleheader loss to Missouri Baptist today.

Riley, a former Andalusia and LBWCC standout, hit her solo home run during the second game, which went 10 innings.

HC lost its doubleheader 6-3, 5-4 to the NAIA Spartans.

In the twin bill, former Straughn players Kaitlynn Wiggins and Katy Messick pitched for the Lady Hawks. Wiggins took the loss in relief for starter Brooke Meadows in game one. Messick held MB to three hits in the first five innings during game two.

Riley’s solo home run came in the bottom of the third inning to give the Lady Hawks a 1-0 advantage.
