Doug Darby was the fastest runner in Saturday’s 5K Run/Walk to raise money for Southside Baptist Church’s Amped Youth Group.

Winners by age group in the 5K run were:

• 10 years and under: first – Jared Hawkins;

• 11-12 years old: first – Raygen Clarke; second – Allie Hawkins; third – Tate Grissom.

• 13-15 years old: first – Tyler Myrick; second – Carley Glidewell.

• 16-19 years old: first – Morgan Odom; second – Alex Myrrick; third – Michael McCalmon.

• 20-29 years old: first – Teresa Pickron; second – Amanda Ellison; third – Thomas Rudd.

• 30-39 years old: first – Jeff Hawkins; second – Jonathan Ellison; third – Matt Hickman.

• 40-49 years old: first – Doug Darby; second – Kelley Fore; third – Amy Dugger.

• 50-plus years old: first – Randy Hildreth.

5K Walk winners were Rick Simmons, first; Kim Brook, second; and Becky Simmons, third

Fun Run winners were: Sydney Ray, first; Zeb Green, second; and Brook Mancil, third.

Proceeds of the event will help fund a summer mission trip to Belize.­­
