Alabama Department of Transportation workers were busy Wednesday afternoon resurfacing, widening and adding safety stripes to a portion of Stanley Avenue.

Each side of the road from (insert length here or place to place here) got a new layer asphalt, along with a 2-foot widening barrier.

ALDOT churns up the road, then puts down a hot rubbery liquid with the asphalt on top. Then another layer is added on top.
