AHS boys, girls tennis split

Andalusia’s boys and girls tennis teams split with Providence Chrisitian Thursday afternoon in its last home match of the season.
The Bulldog boys team won 8-1, while the girls lost 5-4.
Andalusia’s Brandon Scruggs beat Crawford Crim 10-7; David May beat Kevin Compton 10-2; Ian Peek beat Philip Samuels 10-5; Ari Carter beat Will Skinner 10-6; Cody Stewart beat Jonathan Stuckey 10-4; and Jackson Moore lost to Conner Folger 7-10 in singles action.
In doubles, Moore and Peek beat Folger and Crim 10-7; May and Scruggs bat Compton and Samuels 10-0; and Carter and Stewart beat Skinner and Stuckey 10-3.
In girls, Jodie Watson beat Ara Byrd 10-8; and C.J. Capps beat Hannah Murray 10-2 for the only singles wins.
Sarah Atkinson and Rachel Dayton beat Hannah Samuels and Catherine Collier, and Watson and Capps beat Byrd and Murray 10-4 each for the only doubles wins.
Andalusia is back in action on Thursday at Prattville Christian.
