Nothing says spring like a picnic, and the Luncheon Pilot Club will host its annual Picnic on the Square event next week.

Linda Hutto of the civic organization said the event is always a lot of fun for those who participate.

There will be sack lunches of chicken salad, pimento cheese or ham and cheese sandwiches, along with chips, dessert and drink.

Cost is $6 per meal.

Hutto said tickets may be purchased from club members or the day of the event.

The event will be held Thurs., April 17, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., on the Court Square in downtown Andalusia.

The event is a major fundraiser for the club, which with numerous charitable causes throughout the year.
