Mr. and Mrs. Mark and Lisa Hicks of Andalusia are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Marianna Elizabeth Hicks, to Brandon Trace Morris, son of Robert and Dena Morris of Gray, Ga.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mickey and Kay Johnson of Andalusia and of Duke and Judy Hicks of Gray.

She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Georgia College in 2013.

She is currently employed at Eagle Ridge Elementary School in Milledgeville, Ga.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Malton and Wrella Purser of Soperton, Ga., and of the late James Morris and Betty Morris of Lyons, Ga.

He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Georgia College in 2013.

He is currently employed as a graduate assistant at Georgia Military College, while pursuing his master’s degree.

The couple will wed May 31, 2014, at Southern Bridle Farms in Fort Valley, Ga.

The couple will reside in Milledgeville.
