Morgan, Pickron win Madness 5K

Gill Morgan, 13, was the overall winner of the 2014 Mt. Gilead Mission Madness 5K on Saturday.

Morgan finished the race in 21 minutes, 58.99 seconds and at a pace of 7:05 per mile.

Teresa Pickron, 25, garnered second place overall with a time of 24:22 and was the overall female winner.

Clint Fallin, 49, won the top male masters category finishing at 26:33; Lashon Tillman, 41, won the top female masters category finishing at 27:43; Gary Strickland, 60, won the top male grand masters category finishing in 34:37; and Debbie Jones, 60, won the top female grand masters category finishing in 47:50.

Tucker Livings, 11, won the top males overall category in the 5K walk, finishing in 41 minutes; while Jen Nall, 43, won the top females category, finishing in 44:50.

In the male 26-34 category, Ray Bozeman finished first at 56:19; in the male 55+ category, Johnny Odom finished first at 58:24; in the female 26-34 category, Mary Bozeman finished first at 56:21; in the female 35-44 category, Sara Evans finished first at 50:56; in the female 45-54 category, Angie Hardage finished first at 50:54; and in the female 55+ category, Jane Grice finished first at 50:15.

Emily Layton (27:50) and Ron Nall (28:39) were the top finishers in the jalk; and Dylan Jackson and Zeb Green were the top finishers in the 1-mile run.
