The Covington Rifles Camp of the Sons of Confederate Veterans will host Stuart Towns of Forest City, Arizona, at 6:30 tonight, Thurs., May 1, in the Dixon Memorial Room of the Andalusia Public Library.

Towns is the author of Enduring Legacy: Rhetoric and Ritual of the Lost Cause, which explores the crucial role of the spoken word in creating and propagating a “Lost Cause” public memory of the American South, and explores the vital place of ceremonial oratory in oral tradition in the South.
