John Van Valkenburg will portray Mark Twain during this weekend’s Three Notch Festival.

Twain was an author who was renowned as a humorist.

He is often referred to as the world’s “first celebrity.”

Valkenburg will appear on the Three Notch Market stage on the grounds of historic Springdale this Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until 1 p.m.

His appearance is sponsored by the Southeast Alabama Scottish Rite.
