A two-vehicle crash Wednesday near Atmore claimed the life of an Andalusia man.

According to information released by the Alabama State Troopers Office, Richard Walker, 42, was killed when the 2006 Toyota Tacoma he was driving was struck by a 2009 BMW 335.

Sgt. Steve Jarrett, public information officers for the State Troopers, said Walker’s vehicle left the roadway and overturned. The crash occurred at 1:10 p.m. on Interstate 65 northbound at the 63.1 mile marker, 15 miles northwest of Atmore. Walker was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.

Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
