The Andalusia Police Department is investigating a burglary at Fred’s Pharmacy on S. Three Notch St. that occurred at approximately 9:55 p.m. Wednesday.

The APD responded to the scene after the burglar alarm went off and found a broken window in front of the business, from which entry was made by at least one person.

Lt. Barney Tyree said a large quantity of narcotic medications were taken from the pharmacy. Because the investigation is ongoing, he said, the quantity of medications is not being released.

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to contact the APD.
