Books about reptiles may be flying off the shelves at Andalusia Public Library this weekend after it hosted a children’s learning session about the cold-blooded creatures Thursday.

Amy Walker and Daniel Sapiro of the Coosa River Science School were on hand yesterday, along with some of their scalier friends, including turtles, a tortoise, a bearded dragon, a rat snake, and an alligator.

Walker gave kids a brief description of each animal before fielding questions about that particular reptile.

For those with enough nerve, children were even allowed to touch the alligator and snake.
