Covington County’s 8U and 12U Softball All-Stars will be competing at the Babe Ruth state tournament this weekend in Alex City.

The tournament format is pool play today, and the first-part of tomorrow. Single elimination bracket play gets underway tomorrow afternoon.

CC’s 12U team plays Sylacauga at 1 p.m., and Wedowee at 3 p.m. today; and then Alex City at 11 a.m. tomorrow in pool play action.

The 8U team plays Alex City at 11 a.m., and Brewton at 3 p.m. today; and then Woodland at 9 a.m. tomorrow in pool play action.

The top four seeds from each pool — meaning every team — will play in bracket play.

Bracket play for both starts at 1 p.m. tomorrow with the championship slated for 5 p.m.
