Andalusia fans will see some familiar faces on the west end zone wall at the high school’s municipal stadium this football season.

There will be 25 banners hung depicting the 19 senior football players and six senior cheerleaders. For example, each football banner has a picture of the senior in full pads without a helmet holding a football with the school’s block “A” and Bulldogs, along with the player’s jersey number.

The idea to hang the banners came when AHS quarterback club member Casey Jones and his wife, Cavelle, were at youth football game in Crestview, Fla. some years back.

“I’ve wanted to do this the last two years,” Casey said.

Each banner cost $80 to print at Pirate Graphics. Jones said the QB club paid for half with the other half paid for by the athlete.

Jones said the banners will not fade and was told by the printer that they should last for a year in the elements, and added that each senior will be able to take theirs home after the season ends.
