Marie Raley and JW Philyaw of Gantt and Robert and Mary Ann Raley of Opp wish to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Makailah Marie Raley, to Jason Lee Kendrick Jr., son of Christy Mason of Opp and Jason and Amanda Kendrick of Geneva.

Makailah is the granddaughter of the late Carey and Lillian Little of Evergreen and Vicky and Virgil Cross of Andalusia, and the great-granddaughter of the late Walter and Elizabeth Jordan of Evergreen and the late Lucious and Vearl Raley of Andalusia.

She is a 2012 graduate of Straughn High School and is employed at Andalusia Manor.

Jason is the grandson of Joy and Wendell Ryals of Opp and Tommy And Loreine Kendrick of Opp.

He is a 2012 graduate of Straughn High School and is self-employed.

The wedding will take place on Sept. 20, 2014, at 2 p.m., at the First Baptist Church of Gantt. A reception will follow.

Invitations will be sent and all friends and family are invited to attend.
