Andalusia running back J’Marion Burnette scored on a 12-yard touchdown rush with no time left to help lift the Bulldog tinymites to a 13-7 victory over Evergreen on Saturday.

Burnette also had a 44-yard scoring run late in the first half to tie the game at 7-7 at the break.

Andalusia’s midgets won 14-7 and the termites took a 9-0 victory before the game was called due to weather.

The peewee game was canceled and is likely to be made up tomorrow night.

In other action, Straughn swept Opp in youth football league action on Saturday at home.

The young Tigers beat the Bobcats 13-7 in midgets action; won 12-6 in overtime in tiny mites; won 7-6 in overtime in termites; and eclipsed the day with a 28-0 rout in peewee play.

The Tigers visit Greenville, while Opp hosts Andalusia on Saturday.

Action gets under way at 4 p.m. with the midgets.
