Mrs. Lillian Barnes Cookman, 95, of Dozier, passed away Sun., Sept. 28, 2014.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Fri., at Oak Grove Church.

Mrs. Cookman is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Frank Daugherty of Dozier; two sons and daughter-in-law, Ronald Barnes and Donald and Donna Barnes, all of Dozier; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

ETHEL MAE GILMORE

Mrs. Ethel Mae Gilmore, 82, of Opp and formerly of Clearview, died Sat., Sept. 27, 2014, at her residence.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Tues., Sept. 30, at Foreman Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Derwood Cleland officiating. Interment followed at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Gilmore was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond L. Gilmore; son, Ronald Gilmore; daughter, Jeanette Jackson; granddaughter, Kathryn Bartley; and grandsons, Frankie Hammett and Ashley Moore.

Mrs. Gilmore is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Mary Janice Baker of Andalusia, Myra Gilmore of Opp and Shania (Mike) Lunsford of Opp; sons and daughters-in-law, Larry Gilmore of Colorado, Farrell (Teresa) Gilmore of Gantt, Billy (Kathy) Gilmore of Dozier and Kenneth Gilmore of Dozier; 24 grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Mon., at Foreman’s and family will be receiving friends at her son’s home at 28025 Hwy. 29 North Andalusia.

 

THERESA ANN EDISON WISNER

Mrs. Theresa Ann Edison Wisner, 57, of Red Level, died Sat., Sept. 27, 2014, at her residence.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Wisner is survived by her husband, Tom Wisner; three sons, Lee Buice of Florida, Tommy Wisner of Georgia, and Joshua Wisner of Georgia; two daughters, Autumn Perry and Summer Buice, both of Red Level; nine grandchildren; and three sisters, Libby Newsom, Suzette and Barbie Padgett.

NONA VIRGINIA DEAN

Mrs. Nona Virginia Dean, 80, of Red Level, passed away Fri., Sept. 26, 2014, at a Bonifay, Fla., nursing facility.

Graveside services were held Tues., Sept. 30, at Stone Lake Gardens. The Rev. John Eiland officiated. Keahey Funeral Home directed.

Mrs. Dean is survived by a son, Rockford Dean of Red Level; brother, Stan Runion of New Port, Fla.; sister, Nancy Wade of Opp; and grandchild, Aaron Hunter Dean of Red Level.

Mrs. Nobie Barton Kelley, 89, of the Rose Hill Community, died Mon., Sept. 29, 2014, in Andalusia.

Funeral services will be held Thurs., Oct. 2, 2014, at 2 p.m., from the Bethany Baptist Church.

Dr. Michael Mynatt will officiate; a eulogy will be given by Judge Trippy McGuire; and the Rev. Jared Parker will officiate at graveside.

Interment will be in the Mt. Gilead Cemetery.

She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Ruth and Larry Walker of Nashville, Tenn., and Jackie and Greg Parker of Andalusia; three sons and daughters-in-law, Pete and Virginia Kelley of Enterprise; Randy and Sherry Kelley of Andalusia; and Andy and Kathy Kelley of Dothan; grandchildren, Krystal (Zivko) Walker, Hubble (Joy) Sowards, Michael (Tabitha) Kelley, Russell Kelley, Blake Kelley, Jason Kelley, Scotty (Micalyn) Kelley, Julie (Jeremy) Hardy, TJ Kelley, Laura (Daniel) Wells; Zack (Casey) Kelley, Ryan Kelley, Jared (Amanda) Parker, McKenna (Derek) Fore, Ross Parker and Chase Parker; step-grandchildren, Brandon (Kristi) Martin and Brooke Martin; great-grandchildren, Kaleb Hobbs, Conner and Brady Sowards; Jackson and Dylan Kelley; Brynne Kelley, Austin, Savannah, Ashland and Hudson Kelley, Brylon and Baylor Kelley, John Parker, Sawyer and Cooper Hardy, Grover and Lacey Jane Wells, Tucker and Brinkley Kelley, Jaycee and Rhylee Parker and Abbie Fore; step-great-grandchildren, Kryslin Martin and Braelynn Napier; a brother and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Kathy Barton of Pace, Fla., and Rebecca Barton and Totsie Barton of Andalusia.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Kelley; parents, Furman and Ruth Fletcher Barton; brothers, Fletcher, Marvin, Gene, Ray and Lawrence Barton; son-in-law, Jerry Williams; granddaughter, Kelley Walker; in-laws, Jacob Pete and Etta Hammett Kelley.

The body will lie in state at Foreman Funeral Home at 5:30 p.m., today, and at the church 30 minutes prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Zivko Walker, Hubble Sowards, Michael, Russell, Blake, Jason, Scotty, TJ, Zack, and Ryan Kelley, Ross and Chase Parker.
